Previewing The Madrid Course

I arrived yesterday in Madrid and had a deep sleep in a beautiful hotel chosen by the Italian group. This morning Bruseghin and I went to have a look at the TT route. We travelled from the hotel by car and then rode four and half laps, and previewed the hardest climb five times, for a total of about 100K. The ascent of the race is 460 meters. We experienced just how difficult the route is. It's similar to the first TT of this year's Giro in Firenze.

After the lunch we went to ride a good road near the circuit where I will do the warm up for the race, because I prefer to warm-up on the road rather than on the home-trainer. The temperature was good. This evening the entire Italian team will arrive, plus there will be more journalists and people walking around.
